We've all known (or know) people either our age or older who have children who are drug users. And most of them are fine. But what is up with parents lately who's kids are getting totally screwed for their drug use? Kids today are still using drugs, despite using Ossama as an anti-drug spokesman. Could this be because Jesus seems to make it okay? Which religious figures do you think provoke the most drug use? Nevermind.

It's the parents, really. Remember that old commercial? "If you use drugs, you have kids who use drugs." Well, sure. They're kids! The guilt thing apparently doesn't work on parents, though. For example, someone sent their 5 year-old girl as a heroin runner, and she was caught with a very large amount of the drug. If you transport drugs, you have kids who transport drugs, I guess. She's not the only one this week, though. In Pheonix, (not Florida! Whoa!) a man has been arrested for going on a PCP binge (they still have those?) and biting off his 2 year-old's thumb then running around all naked. Now, why would any self-respecting PCP user want to do that? To mix their DNA (isn't it, by default, already mixed?). Why would he want to do that? I'm guessing he read this story about Male DNA excellerating mutation and evolution. Creepy, really. Maybe we should try, in the end, to guilt our kids out of drugs. I mean, after all, guilt is apparently a good thing for kids. Now if it only worked on these guys, we'd have something. |
