A major radio network has decided there are some songs we just can't handle right now, and fuckedcompany.com knows what they are.
Poll, too.

| Sure, times are tough. Yes, the possibility of our vaporization exists. True, in the throes of nationalism, we must be on guard against using unnecessarily inflammatory speech. But some people are probably being a little too anal about causing offense. And a good number of them appear to work for Clear Channel.
The Clear Channel owns 1,100+ radio stations nationwide. In these days of heightened national security, they've decided there are some songs that should not be played on the air right now, and have at least temporarily removed these songs from their playlists.
Granted, maybe some people can't handle Megadeth's politically-charged commentary right now. But some of these choices are bizarre -- Jackson Browne's "Doctor My Eyes"? Ricky Nelson's "Travelin' Man"? For God's sake, "Have You Seen Her" by the Chi-Lites?
Of course, this list is good for some things. At least we won't be hearing "St. Elmo's Fire" on our favorite Clear Channel stations anytime soon. |
