I missed Sherman Alexie's directorial debut when it played at OFS, but after having finally seen it (now available on video and DVD) I feel compelled to work out some of my feelings about it in review form.

When you're Ozzy Osbourne life is just unpredictable.
Recently enjoying what has probably been the most coherent and lucid phase of his life after firing the Beverly Hills doctor that reportedly had Ozzy on 42 pills a day, accounting for his mumbling, stumbling and generally spaced-out appearance on the hit TV show The Osbournes, Ozzy took a well-deserved day-off from promotion of the new "Changes" duet with daughter, Kelly...But, Ozzy being Ozzy...

My theory is that Richard Linklater lost a bet one night, and agreed to make The School Of Rock just to prove he could make a dependable, money-making family film that would be neither excruciating nor condescending to sit through.
Linklater, however, got Mike White to write the script and got Jack Black to star. That's kinda like cheating.
