It is a really strange time when a company that would probably have security tailing someone immediately just for walking in their store pays that individual royalties to use a song in one of their commercials. I'd imagine Daniel will get more money for this than for all of his album sales to date. Of course when you think about it, who would be working in ad firms these days other than creative, cynical, former acid-heads in their late twenties and early thirties? It figures that people like that would want to make a few bucks for people like Daniel J. Still, this blows the Smiths and the Buzzcocks being used to sell SUVs out of the water.
